ASSISTANT COORDINATOR (PART-TIME)
York Neighbours are recruiting to our team of Assistant Coordinators.
This is a vital role for our small charity, involving lots of contact with our service-users, volunteers, partner organisations, and the public.
It will be well suited to a “people person” who shares our passion to reduce loneliness, tackle isolation, and prolong independent living for older people in York.
We are seeking somebody who can work well within a small, flexible team, and can effectively prioritise between a wide variety of tasks in a busy office environment.
The successful person will join York Neighbours at an important time of change. Despite nearly a decade of constant growth in the numbers of people we support - due to York's aging population and changes to other local services - demand for our work still continues to rise. So, in parallel with trying to secure the funding to keep up with this, we are also trying to find more efficient ways of working to give even more time to service delivery.
Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary: £11,967 (£23,935 Full-time equivalent)
Contract length: Permanent
Location: This role will be mostly based at The Raylor Centre, James Street, York, YO10 3DW. On occasion, the role-holder is expected to attend events elsewhere to support the charity’s work (e.g. a local volunteering fair) and may need to visit a service user or volunteer in their own home. There is also flexibility for remote working outside of times when staff are needed in the office.
